Words Hurts

The other day, at lunch time during school, I got really upset.  I went over to a table that had some of my friends at it and they were all pretty much done and ran out to play soccer in the heat.  So I went to a different table that had some of my other friends and when I got over there, the all looked at me and started laughing and whispering.

Many people say, “Sticks and stones can break your bones but words can never hurt you.”  Well… I should know what hurts. I have gone through three major brain procedures and brain radiation and, to me, I feel words can hurt A LOT! I think it is better to say sticks and stones MAY break your bones but words can ALWAYS hurt you.  I just wanted to share that I cried a lot that day, more than losing my hair and everything else I go through.

It’s hard to believe people actually choose to hurt other people for whatever reason. I use my words to wish you all a great day and hope you choose your words carefully with brAvery.

Love, Avery (The Miracle Kid)
